**JOB SUMMARY****EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS**- Intermittently functions as project manager, guiding work of team, while coordinating with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed timely.- Participates in establishing direction of brand design, ensuring elements align with brand standards and aesthetic.- Selects, trains, and manages interior design consultants as necessary.- Develops and maintains liaison with all appropriate divisions, departments, and owners.- Monitors the interior design project budget, managing schedules and resources effectively while maintaining quality standards.- Serves as content leader on projects, providing updates internally, utilizing company tools and systems to track and report status.- Develops and articulates conceptual design ideas, effectively presenting and selling plans to senior executives and property owners.- Stays updated with the latest trends and technologies to develop and incorporate innovative concepts and solutions to designs.- Gathers and provides field input to product development group.- Travel anticipated: 25%-35% CANDIDATE PROFILE Key Skills/Requirements:- Knowledgeable about innovation & trends both in & outside of industry- Strong business acumen- Problem solving & creative solution skills- Ability to build strong working relationships- Customer service skills- Ability to negotiate and be flexible when appropriate- Strong organizational skills- Strategic thinking relative to the business- Strong written & verbal communications skills- Strong project management skills.- Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering and mechanical drawings- Knowledge of FF&E specifications- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, scheduling, project & database mgmt. software (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCad, Bluebeam, Adobe).**Education/Experience**:- 4-year degree in Architecture or related design discipline preferred- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in architecture at a design firm for large commercial or hospitality projects.- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.- Interior Design license preferred.- Minimum requirement of 2 years in the Hospitality sector.- Bi literate in English/Spanish is required, Portuguese speaking a plus- Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
