The role focuses on ensuring accurate trade data, supporting compliant cross-border movement of goods, and identifying risks and improvement opportunities across trade operations, while working cross-functionally to support trade compliance programs, systems, and controls and to drive regional improvements through project and program ownership.**Key Responsibilities*** Lead and support trade compliance projects and program initiatives, including process improvements, system enhancements, and regional standardization efforts.* Provide operational support for U.S., Mexico, and LATAM trade compliance activities, including customs entries, collaboration with sourcing teams and review of documentation.* Support the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of HS classification, country of origin, valuation, and tariff data across the region.* Maintain and update regional inputs into the Global Tariff Model, including tracking tariff exposure and validating duties paid.* Collect, organize, and maintain customs documentation and trade data to support audits, reporting, and internal controls.* Support duty-optimization and tariff-mitigation initiatives through data analysis, documentation, and execution support.* Support the use and maintenance of Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM), including product master data updates, compliance checks, and adherence to standard operating procedures.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.* Minimum of **5 years of experience** in trade compliance, customs operations, or global trade roles (**10 years preferred**).* Working knowledge of customs compliance fundamentals, including classification, valuation, origin, and tariff application.* Experience supporting trade compliance activities across multiple countries, preferably within the Americas.* Experience working with ERP and trade compliance systems; Oracle and/or Global Trade Management (GTM) experience preferred.* Strong **data analytics skills**, with the ability to analyze trade and customs data, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.**Preferred Qualifications*** Familiarity with Mexico,US and LATAM trade compliance requirements.* Trade compliance certifications (e.g., CCS, CES) a plus.* Experience managing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and rules of origin, particularly USMCA.* **Skills & Competencies*** Strong project management skills* Ability to manage multiple priorities across regions and initiatives* Clear written and verbal communication skills* Comfortable working in a cross-functional and multi-country environment* Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving**Language Requirements*** English: Fluent* Spanish: Fluent* Portuguese: Preferred but not required**Travel*** Up to **10–15%**, primarily within the AmericasAt Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
