Position Summary**:- The SAP Infrastructure & Cloud Architect is the role responsible for managing the cloud architecture in SAP environment. This role is responsible for the overall cloud infrastructure build, design, deployment and support in SAP environment. In addition, the role is responsible for providing the architectural support and guidance in Basis Infrastructure space and various SAP upgrade and enhancements projects. This position will also provide infrastructure thought leadership for SAP infrastructure integration between SAP cloud Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, on-premise systems and AWS cloud. In addition, this role will provide project management support and direct oversight of the Service Provider and/or Project Team Members to insure integrity of the implemented design and architecture. As an integral member of the SAP Basis team, the SAP Cloud Platform Architect will provide administration support to all SAP and peripheral systems and participate in 24*7 production support with very mínimal supervision._**B. Key Responsibilities**:- Installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring and performance tuning and troubleshooting of- SAP S/4, SAP MDG, SAP BRIM, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP SRM, SAP SCM, APO/Live Cache, SAP GRC, SAP IQ, SAP CRM, SAP LaMa, MDM, Catalog, EP and Solution Manager- Peripheral systems such as OpenText, Go3i, PGP encryption- Leading Proof of Concept and guiding team on new technologies- Maintaining and managing SAP Portal System.- System copies and landscape synchronization.- Manage backups and restores, disaster recovery, high availability of systems.- Manage and satisfy SOX and other audit controls.- Security experience with ABAP and Java stack.- Effectively interface and collaborate with other infrastructure teams: server, storage and networking.- Participate in on-call rotation.- Stay abreast of SAP roadmaps, development and OSS notes to help improve current platform.- Create and maintain team documentation leading to best practices, standardization and service desk support.**C. Requirements**:**(These are ‘musts’ for the role)**- 8 years deep SAP Basis Administration experience.- 5+ years of experience working in a NetWeaver 7.0 or higher environment- 3+ years of experience in S/4HANA, BRIM and BW/4HANA environment- 2+ years of experience supporting SAP in Cloud environment- Minimum of five complete life-cycle implementations.- Experience with multiple SAP components including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP ECC.- Familiarity with SAP SCM, APO/Live Cache, SAP GRC, SAP IQ, SAP SRM, Portal, BTP, Fiori Launchpad, SAP CRM.- Experience with Enhancement Packages, ABAP and Java stack administration including system copies.- Experience supporting SAP in AWS cloud environment- Advanced level knowledge in managing SAP with HANA and/or DB2 databases with back up, High Availability and DR solution- Intermediate knowledge with SAP cloud platform (SCP) Integration, Cloud Connector, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).- Experience with HANA, DB2 and Unix administration concepts as necessary for Basis work, including scripting in AWS Cloud and On Premise environment- Experience supporting SAP in AWS cloud environment- Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly and precisely to both technical and non-technical parties- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively- Familiar with ODATA services and Fiori based Application Deployment.- Strong analytical and technical communication skills.- Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone.- Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.- Must be service-oriented.- Must be able to work independently.- Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary.- Must be able to maintain confidentiality**D. Preferred**:**(These are ‘nice to have’ for the role)**- Familiarity with SOX and ITIL- SAP certification- Experience with AWS, or Azure or GCP- Experience with optimizing cloud costs
