Most colleagues work from home with global collaboration. Job Overview You will own a globally distributed team that delivers a Ceph‑based software‑defined storage solution. You will coach engineers, set technical vision, and drive the execution of architecture and best practices. What You'll Do Lead the development of a Ceph‑focused storage solution. Build and manage a globally distributed engineering team. Coach and mentor engineers to grow as technical leaders. Demonstrate sound engineering principles through active contribution to team goals. Set realistic schedules based on thoughtful estimates and iterative feedback. Align expectations with other engineering teams and external stakeholders. Advance modern, agile software development practices. Maintain a culture of quality, technical excellence, and collaboration. Actively participate in leadership discussions across the organization. Work from home with up to 20% global travel for internal and external events. Who You Are Software engineering background, with strong experience in Python and C++. Experience operating large‑scale Linux storage clusters (preferably Ceph) in production. Passion for new technologies and a proven track record of driving product excellence. Strong people‑management skills: leading, coaching, and mentoring teams. Deep knowledge of software development, architecture, and quality practices. Experience with agile development environments.
