Customs & General Cargo

Transport and Customs resides in the Sales organization and is the overall responsible for the execution of all transport & customs related operations, using our already proven processes and systems or participating in developing new ones. The area has the full responsibility for the transportation of all required oversize, heavy-lift, general cargo and vessels, including all Planning, Execution and Controlling activities, and is fully accountable for the coordination of deliveries together with factories, constructions, nominated transport companies, authorities and other relevant stakeholders.The general purpose of this role is to oversee and coordinate customs and general cargo procedures of wind turbines and their components within wind sites in Mexico & Caribbean region.**Responsibilities**- Full coordination with Transport team of all O&M service deliveries attending the sites demands;- Ensure customs and tax compliance having full contact with the different Brokers, Freight Forwarders and Transport Companies;- Ensure that all LSP are instructed and following safety procedures in all operations;- Investigate and support problem-solving of delivery and transport quality issues, monitor and report transport risks;- Supplier Performance Management of service providers;- Audit invoices / control payments of nominated service providers;- Optimize and Reduce overall logistics and customs costs;- Extract SAP reports and update KPI's;- Support in the creation and control of transport budgets;- Provide guidance, assistance and advice t the internal clients in support of their operations;- Effectively approach stakeholders to attend domestic deliveries;- Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure shipments are on track and reported.**Qualifications**- Bachelor's Degree;- Comprehensive knowledge of logistics operations and practices, in-depth knowledge and hands-on execution on Customs Clearance mainly in South America;- Ability to understand and evaluate complex supply chain related issues including its financial impacts;- Solid computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point and SAP;- Fluent English is mandatory;- Over-size or heavy lift transport experience is highly valued.**Competencies**- Professional communication and organizational skills;- Ability to work in a innovative environment with diverse priorities;- Ability to makes recommendations and performs work with mínimal supervision;- Team work;- Motivated, motivated, hands-on, focused on results.**What We Offer**Life at Vestas is many things - exciting, rewarding and fun.
