The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities for the hotel, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves managing tax filings, advising on tax strategies, monitoring legislation changes, and collaborating with external consultants and auditors. The Tax Manager will also support the Finance team in optimizing tax liabilities while maintaining high standards of financial integrity. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all applicable taxes, including corporate income tax, VAT, sales tax, property tax, payroll tax, tourism levies, and industry-specific taxes. Monitor changes in tax laws affecting the hospitality industry and provide guidance on implications and adjustments. Maintain and manage tax records, filings, and documentation in compliance with regulations and audits. Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies during audits and reviews. Advise management on tax planning, risks, and strategies to optimize financial position. Coordinate with operational departments to ensure proper tax application and reporting. Review hotel contracts for tax implications and compliance. Manage tax provisions and related ledger accounts. Assist in preparing financial statements with tax estimates, disclosures, and reconciliations. Lead or support projects related to tax optimization, cost control, or business expansion. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or similar qualification preferred. At least 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in hospitality or related industries. Strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations for hotels. Experience handling tax audits and liaising with tax authorities. Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
