Industrialization Engineer

Industrialization Coordinator

Summary of the Role:

  • Responsible for execution of Industrialization Projects related to Capital Investment, Channel / Machine Installation, Handling Plant & Channel Layouts, Facilitate in Machine & Equipment Development at Local Machine Supplier, Installation & Hand-over.
  • New Product Development as per ETO Process.
  • Project Followup & Status Reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field. PMP certification / GPM2 will be preferred.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in handling Industrialization / Upgradation Projects, New Product Development.
  • A good understanding and aptitude for project management.
  • Exposure to contemporary manufacturing techniques in any mechanical industry & project management.
  • Can-do, hands-on, dynamic personality that promotes a positive culture and teamwork within international and multicultural Project Teams. Should have excellent interpersonal skills to face multiple clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope & technical feasibility, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.

Project Execution:

  • Co-ordinate in execution of Capex, Machine Up-gradation and Installation Projects and ensure its timely completion.
  • Interact with Process Engineer, Purchase, Planning, Maintenance, Quality and Manufacturing for various work packages in a project and get them executed.
  • Interact with Process Engineer to Conceptualize, finalize SOS and project plan for Projects related to Machine / Equipment addition / upgradation in Pune Factory.
  • Support in identification of the RIGHT supplier who can develop the required equipment / machine.
  • Interaction and follow-up with supplier right from concept stage till final commissioning at our plant.
  • Ensure DAP sign-off, Layout sign-off and ensure material availability according to project requirement.
  • Ensure successful FAT and SAT before equipment installation.
  • Installation and handover of Machine / Equipment after proper sign-off with support to production function till start of production.
  • Ensure proper documentation and standardization.
  • Interaction with SKF Group / MDC for Machine Development & Standardization as per group guidelines.
  • Undertake Special Projects as and when assigned.
  • To support in Quick feasibility & cost for new project proposals.

Project Monitoring: Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and meet high-quality standards align with customer requirements.

Project Closure: Conduct project reviews, gather lessons learned, and provide recommendations for future improvements.

Development of New Product: as per Customer Requirements through ETO / APQP+ process and ensure adherence to Time Schedule.

Risk Management & Escalation: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Ensure timely escalation to management before the occurrence.

Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to meet project objectives. Coordinate with internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

Financial Management: Track project financial parameters, manage cost reduction initiatives, and report financial status to relevant stakeholders.

Change Management: Evaluate and implement changes to project scope, schedule, or resources while managing the impact on project objectives using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.

Documentation: Create & Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and records throughout the project lifecycle.

SKF Business Understanding: Ensure compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations e.g. EHS (environment, health and safety) regulations and guidelines, Code of Conduct, financial regulations, SKF brand image, intellectual property, confidentiality.
