This combination enhances the livelihood trajectories and resilience of millions of resource-poor farmers, while working towards a more productive, inclusive, and resilient agrifood system within planetary boundaries.For more information, visit cimmyt.org.The selected consultant will be based at CIMMYT HQ’s in Texcoco, Mexico.**Scope of Work**:- **Assessment**:- Conduct a thorough review of existing organizational policies and procedures, and the framework to manage them.- Benchmark current policies against industry standards and legal requirements.- Identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement.- **Development**:- Draft new policies and procedures to address existing gaps, taking into account the priorities set by the Leadership Team.- Update and refine existing policies to ensure clarity, relevance, and compliance.- Ensure all policies promote CIMMYT’s values, transparency, accountability, and best practices.- Ensure full alignment with the overarching institutional strategy and risk appetite.- **Consultation**:- Engage with key stakeholders, including the leadership team, and process owners to gather input and feedback.- Facilitate workshops or meetings to discuss draft policies and incorporate feedback.- **Implementation Plan**:- Develop a detailed implementation plan, including timelines, responsibilities, and resources needed (e.g., training material).- Provide training (including training the trainers) and support staff in the new policies and procedures.**Deliverables**:- A comprehensive report detailing the assessment findings.- Draft and final versions of all policies and procedures.- An implementation plan with clear timelines and responsibilities.- A training plan and materials for staff and volunteers.- A finalized set of policies and procedures prioritized by the Leadership Team.**Requirements**:- Proven experience in policy development and organizational management.- Full English proficiency, both written and spoken.- Understanding of the NGOs/ International Organizations sector and its regulatory environment.- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.**Benefits****This position will remain open until filled.****CIMMYT is an equal-opportunity employer.
