We treat a client’s fledgling business like our own, and recognise the investment and passion that drives them.**The Role: What we’re looking for**As a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality software that meets both business and user expectations. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that software is thoroughly tested for defects, verified for functionality, and validated against requirements.You’ll need to bring technical expertise and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). You’ll contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, collaborating closely with developers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to enhance the reliability and performance of our products.**Responsibilities**- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation to guide testing efforts.- Contribute to defining acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks.- Perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing.- Validate end-to-end user workflows and ensure product usability.- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline regression testing.- Implement automation strategies to improve test coverage and efficiency.- Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure requirements are testable and achievable.- Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.- Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools.- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.- Conduct basic performance and security testing to ensure the software meets non-functional requirements.- Provide clear and actionable test results, metrics, and progress reports to stakeholders.- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in the QA process.**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.- 2+ years of professional experience in a QA role, with exposure to both manual and automated testing.- Proficiency in manual testing techniques with a keen eye for detail.- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Datadog, Cypress, or equivalent).- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.- Knowledge of defect management tools (JIRA) and processes.- Basic understanding of performance testing principles and tools (e.g., JMeter).- Awareness of security testing practices and common vulnerabilities.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.**Package**- Salary range: Depending on experience.- 10 days holiday, plus an additional 2 days accruing per year of employment- Pro-rated annual Christmas bonus (Aguinaldo)- Opportunity to travel.- Equity-linked bonus pool.- Company-issued equipment.- Annual Company Social.- Vibrant Guadalajara office space.- Hybrid and flexible working.- Birthday Leave.**Contact****Apply**Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):- Are you located in Guadalajara?**Language**:- English (required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in 44160, Americana, Jal.
