AutoZone is looking for an experienced Engineer to be part of their growing Merchandising technology team You will be challenged to deliver key business initiatives for the Merchandising organization.**What We Will Need to See**:- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.- 2+ years of experience in the role of a Software Engineer, Developer, or similar including:- Strong software development background in Java/J2EE Technologies,- Spring Boot,- Version Control System (GitLab is preferred),- UNIX or Linux exposure (experience with scripting),- Service-oriented architecture and rest API’s.- As a plus (but not required): ActiveMQ or Kafka and Swagger API.- Previous experience in working on an Agile team is a desired.- English (able to have a conversation with all our partners in the USA).**What Your Day Will Look Like**:- AutoZoners have a contagious work ethic:- high sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly, creatively, and efficiently,- high sense of responsibility and the ability to influence others.- We expect you to ensure that sites and systems continuously and consistently run smoothly, optimally, efficiently, and reliably- Collaborate with Development teams to create new and continuously improve products, including planning, testing, staging and deployment.- Identify and Implement code/configuration changes to improve performance and reliability as necessary.- Implement effective 360-degree monitoring to ensure quick alerting of any problems.- Advocate for top-notch design standards and lead process improvements in collaboration with architects and Application Engineers.
