Our client-centric approach combines transactional accounting, financial reporting, and tax prep to deliver continuous accounting services tailored to each builder's unique business. We go beyond the books, helping clients streamline systems, solve complex challenges, and plan confidently for the future.We are seeking a **Staff Accountant** who will be the dedicated accounting partner for a portfolio of clients. This isn't just data entry, we're looking for someone with the critical thinking and intuition to help our clients stay organized, informed, and ready for what's next. You'll work directly with clients to handle everything from transaction categorization to monthly reporting. Experience in either QuickBooks or BuilderTrend is required; we'll teach you the rest.**Responsibilities**- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients- Expedite transaction entry and reconciliations for financial transactions using QuickBooks and BuilderTrend/JobTread- Maintain documentation and attach receipts to transactions- Prepare extensive and useful monthly financial reports- Support tax preparation processes- Communicate proactively with clients about unclear transactions or upcoming deadlines- Host video meetings with clients to review financials and ask clarifying questions- Collaborate with the internal team to improve processes and client satisfaction**Qualifications**- 2 or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience- Solid understanding of debits and credits and how they will all flow into the financial statements- Proficiency in QuickBooks, BuilderTrend, or JobTread (knowledge of all three is a plus)- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred- High attention to detail and strong documentation habits- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability, you're comfortable finding your own path to a goal- Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional presence on video- Proactive mindset, you anticipate client needs and act before you're asked- Flexibility and adaptability to work with changing software, processes, and client needs**Compensation & Perks**- Full time position- Competitive monthly salary at $2,400 based on experience- Performance-based quarterly bonuses tied to transaction volume and accuracy- Flexible remote work environment- Opportunity for long-term growth with a mission-driven company- A collaborative and supportive team culture focused on excellence and client success- MyBuilderCPA is an equal opportunity employer.
