**Job Title: VOB Specialist****Location**: Remote**Job Summary**:The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for contacting insurance companies to verify patient eligibility and benefits, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained within the organization’s systems. This role supports the integrity of the revenue cycle by documenting all verification activities, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with Cerebrocare’s information security and ethical standards.**Key Responsibilities**:- Contact insurance companies to **verify patient insurance coverage** and benefits prior to services being rendered- **Maintain a structured system** for initial and subsequent verifications of benefits to ensure ongoing accuracy.- **Prepare detailed call notes**, document findings, and initiate corrective actions when discrepancies are identified.- **Record and post actions** in the customer’s revenue cycle platform according to client-specific documentation requirements.- Ensure all call notes and system updates meet **client-specific standards** for clarity, completeness, and compliance.- Adhere to **Cerebrocare’s information security protocols**, maintaining confidentiality of all patient and insurance information.- Demonstrate **ethical conduct in all interactions**, taking an active role in upholding the company’s commitment to integrity.**Qualifications**:- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.- **1+ year of experience** in insurance verification, medical billing, or related healthcare administrative role.- Knowledge of **insurance terminology**, benefit structures, and healthcare revenue cycle processes.- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written documentation abilities.- Proficient with computer systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and Microsoft Office tools.- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.**Core Competencies**:- Accuracy and attention to detail- Professional communication- Ethical judgment and confidentiality- Problem-solving and initiative- Accountability and reliabilityPay: $26,000.00 - $30,000.00 per monthWork Location: Remote
