The Bilingual General Accountant is responsible for ensuring the correct recording of accounting records, as well as guaranteeing the valuation, integrity and reliability of financial information. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the correct accounting closing of the fiscal year. Applies the principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares financial reports to support the Plant Controller. Fluent English is required. Responsibilities: Perform reviews on the period's expenses and their comparison against budget. Execute and follow up on the closing of accounts for each fiscal year. Prepare the Financial Statements of the Business Unit. Ensure the recording of accruals, adjustments and journal entries required for month-end closing. Consistently document procedures and processes used in the position. Responsible for internal and external audits. Delivery of financial reports to corporate Qualifications: Ability to communicate in English Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field. 3 to 5 years related accounting experience Microsoft Office Suite / Excel Advanced level. Knowledge of IFRS and/or USGAAP Knowledge of NIF Knowledge of transaction classification Knowledge of reserves, provisions and estimates Cost accounting experience Must be able to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, and walk.
