11 - Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialists
About the roleWe are hiring Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable specialists to work 100% remotely from Mexico for small and mid-sized companies in the U. S., mainly construction, distribution, manufacturing and professional services.
What you will doAccounts payable
- Receive, code and enter vendor bills; match them to purchase orders and receipts.
- Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH and checks) for approval.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by email or phone.
- Collect W-9s and keep vendor records current for 1099 reporting.
Accounts receivable
- Create and send customer invoices, including progress billing where needed.
- Apply customer payments and keep the aging report clean.
- Follow up on overdue invoices by email and phone in English.
- Support month-end close with AP/AR reconciliations for the bookkeeper or controller.
Must have
- 2+ years in accounts payable and/or receivable.
- Hands-on Quick Books Online or Desktop experience.
- Intermediate English (B1+) for vendor and customer emails and calls.
- Solid Excel: lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations.
- Accuracy with numbers and a habit of documenting what you did.
Nice to have
- Experience with U. S. companies or U. S. accounting (ACH, 1099s, sales tax).
- , Ramp, Sage, Net Suite or similar tools.
- Construction billing experience: progress billing, retainage, lien waivers.
- Degree or studies in accounting (Contaduría) or finance.
