In this position you will provide overall material strategy for the Fluid Conveyance Plant, ensuring a consistent approach in materials procurement and production planning processes and on time delivery to customers. The position has direct responsibility for all purchasing, logistics, and materials importation and finished goods exportation and functional responsibility for materials planning and production scheduling.**Job Responsabilities**:A. Defines and provide materials strategy for plant.B. Insures consistent in production planning processes.C. Works with division management to define and standardize inventory control policy best practices including implementation of effective measurements and improvement activities.D. Provides functional leadership and guidance to the plant materials managers in areas of sales forecasting, capacity planning, production planning/scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.E. Champions the SIOPs Process for the Plant.F. Defines IT and support tool need to provide materials managers with information to drive materials management practices/processes.G. Continually evaluates plant materials management processes, effective use of current tools and material management competencies to ensure continuous improvement and movement to world class materials management.H. Defines and deploys initiatives to improve the skill of the SCM Professionals (Planning, Inventory Control, etc.)I. Provides leadership and support for Material cost out activitiesJ. Support and participate on continuous improvement activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas program, cost out, improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and objectives.**Requisitos**:**Education level required**:Bachelor’s degree required in Industrial Engineering or Supply chain preferred.**Years of experience**:5+ years of experience in materials area in the same industry sector**Technical knowledge**:- Experience in manning developing and coaching people- Familiar with forecasting tools- APICS CPIM Certification qualification or commitment to complete equivalent.- Experience in MRP, MPS, Min-Max tools.- Experience in ERP Systems- Bilingual English/Spanish.- Intermediate-Advanced in Excel, able to develop spread sheets- Effective Communication Skills.**Soft skills**:Individual Contributor Competencies:- Possesses Effective Communication Skills- Demonstrates a Collaborative Style- Drives for Results- Makes Decisions/Solves Problems- Promotes and Champions Change- Pursues Personal Development- Possesses Interpersonal Savvy (Supplier/Customer Relationships)Other Competencies- Strong ethics and professional presence required- Negotiation skills and experience with suppliers.- Strong oral and written communication skills.- Sense of urgency- Proactive and organized- Teamwork player**Dimensions (scope of responsibilities)**:- Purchasing, logistics, materials import and finished goods exploration.- Materials planning and production scheduling.- Inventory management.- Customer service.- SIOPS processes for the plant.- Materials management.- Cost reduction.- Continuous improvement**Localización**:
