**Job Description Summary**: As part of the Statutory and Tax team, you will help ensure statutory and fiscal regulatory filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with country requirements. Your work will support branches, legal entities, and statutory consolidations, and you’ll contribute to the end-to-end statutory/tax audit process where applicable.What you’ll do- Support timely, accurate, and compliant statutory and fiscal filings for branches, legal entities, and non-U.S. statutory consolidations.- Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns.- Support the calculation, reconciliation, and documentation of tax withholdings.- Collect, organize, and maintain audit-ready documentation; support statutory and tax audits.- Resolve routine issues using established procedures and controls; escalate items outside defined parameters to the staff leader or senior team members.- Understand how your work contributes to team and compliance objectives; meet process SLAs and control requirements.- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather data, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.- When applicable, act as a liaison between external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, advisors, authorities) and GE Vernova.What you’ll bring- **Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; Graduation date June 2026 - 2027.**- Numerical analysis skills and strong attention to detail.- Strong oral and written communication skills.- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.- Ability to learn quickly and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.What will make you stand out- Exposure to statutory reporting, tax return preparation, withholdings, or audit support.- Familiarity with local fiscal regulations and statutory frameworks in Mexico.- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, reconciliations); comfort working with datasets.- Experience with ERP/finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and document management.- Strong organization and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.- Proficiency in English written and spoken.- Availability to work 30 - 40 hours per week.Our compensation & benefits are designed to reward high performers and help you manage your personal and family needs.
