Mechanical Design EngineerAbout the JobAs a Mechanical Design Engineer at Foxconn, you will be instrumental in designing innovative automation machinery from scratch. This role is critical as we aim to enhance our engineering capabilities and provide superior solutions to our customers. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that integrate complex mechanical systems and contribute significantly to our strategic goals.Job Responsibilities- Utilize SOLIDWORKS and other relevant software to develop detailed mechanical designs for individual stations and complete automation lines.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into larger systems.- Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for each design, ensuring all necessary components are accounted for and sourced appropriately.- Conduct thorough design reviews to validate functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.- Take ownership of the design process, from conceptualization to prototyping and testing, making necessary iterations to optimize performance and efficiency.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate materials and components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of final products.- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating new methodologies and best practices into design processes to enhance efficiency and innovation.Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.- 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in (mention relevant industry, e.g., EV, ICT, manufacturing, automation,, etc.).- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SOLIDWORKS, with a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).- Demonstrated experience in creating detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for mechanical designs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.- Proven track record of designing individual stations and automation lines from scratch, with a strong focus on functionality, efficiency, and manufacturability.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results within tight deadlines.Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: $17,490.37 - $31,499.59 al mesHorario:- Lunes a viernes- Turno de 8 horasPrestaciones:- Aumentos salariales- Días por enfermedad- Seguro de la vista- Seguro dental- Seguro de vida- Vacaciones adicionales o permisos con goce de sueldoTipos de compensaciones:- Bono de productividad- Bono trimestralLugar de trabajo: Empleo presencial
