We are seeking an Applications Developer to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. As an Applications Developer at Marsh, the position involves maintaining, enhancing, and supporting existing applications to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. Responsibilities Maintain and enhance existing applications built on the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js). Develop and maintain back‑end services and APIs using Python and Node.js. Manage and optimize Postgres databases, including writing efficient queries and ensuring data integrity. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including QA, DevOps, and front‑end developers to deliver high‑quality solutions. Document application changes, processes, and procedures. Monitor application performance and implement improvements as needed. Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices relevant to application maintenance and development. Qualifications +5 years of proven experience with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) or MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js). Strong proficiency in Python programming for back‑end development. Experience with Postgres database design, development, and optimization. Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced Level of English is a must. Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
