OPEN POSITION Offshore Project Lead Electrical Engineer Mexico City, Full time Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring a robust through life design of the offshore project's electrical systems. Responsible for specification and evaluation of electrical equipment. Responsible for grid code compliance and interconnection requirements. Provide engineering technical support for power system modelling and studies. Support development of engineering processes and procedures. Manage engineering contractors' delivery of engineering studies, reports, analysis, and engineering documents. A strong focus on interface topics, for example in the substations between offshore platforms, interdisciplinary interfaces, control room, etc. Develop the electrical design criteria and specifications related to HV / MV / LV. Switchgears, Power and Distribution transformers, Busducts, AC and DC UPS, VFDs, HV / LV Cables, PMS System, E-house Packages, Bulk Materials and other discipline packages. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering. 5+ years' experience directly working on offshore energy (including power generation, transmission) projects. Experience as an Offshore Lead Electrical Engineer or a similar role in the maritime or oil and gas industry. Electrical system engineering: power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Strong writing and communication skills (Fluent in spoken and written English). Relevant Professional Experience Experience in Offshore Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind, or other large engineering infrastructure projects. Familiar with industry codes and standards applicable to offshore Oil and Gas projects. Knowledge of NOM, IEEE, IEC, NEC standards and guidelines. Knowledge of Power system studies and modeling such as Load Flow, Short circuit, Motor starting, Harmonics, Arc flash and Transient stability study. Protection coordination and relay. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and control systems in an offshore environment. Familiarity with offshore safety regulations and practices for electrical systems. A track record of successful electrical projects and upgrades in an offshore setting.
