To retain and develop top talent, we foster a work environment that celebrates creativity, encourages skill development, and enables multidisciplinary collaboration.**What**will you** bring to the team.**Toshiba is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager who will be responsible for leading a department of direct reports that will include 5-12 software developers.Responsibilities will include guiding and supporting the team throughout the development and successful deployment of new product releases, optimizing development processes and team efficiencies, challenging the team technically and participating in scrum and code reviews, managing capacity and personnel matters.This position requires proven knowledge of software development processes, previous **hands-on software development experience** (writing code preferably in Java), and extensive people management experience to carry out the responsibilities for project activities across a broad, cross functional, geographically diverse team.**What you will be doing.**- Delivery of high-quality product releases and functionality.- Managing the performance of the development team ensuring product commitments are met.- Provide clear prioritization of objectives, timely and appropriate communication, and continuous demonstration of ownership and accountability- Create a highly collaborative, productive and efficient work environment- Collaborate closely with product owners- Enabling the development and support of an innovative product.- Promote continuous process improvement. Ensuring Agile/SAFe practices are applied and followed.- Driving the team through scrum participation.- Reviewing code to ensure proper coding practices are followed.**Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of**:- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.- 8+ years of experience in software development projects.- 3+ years of experience in managing software development teams and projects in Agile methodologies (Microservices environments).- Full understnding of the software development lifecycle and bring a product to production.- Knowledge of software development concepts/methodology/life cycle, especially Agile and SAFe methodologies.- People management experience including performance management, motivation, career development and dealing with conflict.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Good analytic and logical problem solving skills.- Strong collaborative and teaming skills.- Understanding of Test Automation and Test-Driven Development.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and customers.- Ability to demonstrate code review capabilities.- Advanced English level.**Preferred skills**:- PMP Certification.- Experience with PCI.- Experience leading testing and support projects/teams.**We offer**:- Hired directly by Toshiba and 100% under payroll.- Benefits of the law (IMSS, INFONAVIT).- Life insurance, major medical expenses with dental and visual coverage.
