Zego’s workflow automations help clients to digitize all resident and homeowner payments, completely offload utility management, and simplify operations at apartment buildings with a modern mobile app. Join our dynamic team and make your mark on the property technology landscape of tomorrow.**About the role**:**Why you should work here**:- Opportunity to work on modern technologies, architectures and best practices- Exciting team environment promoting collaboration across teams and functions- An engineering culture that dedicates time to learn and practice new technical skills- Fun company events and in-office perks**What you’ll do here**:- Work with internal stakeholders to understand and refine business requirements- Implement and maintain modularized software components in accordance with the design of technical solutions- Create effective unit tests for software modules that plug into the CI/CD pipelines.- Attend ceremonies of the Agile development processes as implemented at Zego- Participate in structured self-learning events and share with team members**Minimum Qualifications**:- 4-6 years’ experience as a Software Engineer- Solid understanding on object-oriented programming principles- Hands-on experience with analyzing, writing and optimizing complex SQL statements- Knowledge of MVC design pattern- Fluent with Git tools and platforms- Strong understanding of web services (SOAP and REST) and single-sign-on (SSO)- Knowledge of web technologies; HTML5, CSS, JavaScript- Ability to demonstrate advanced software engineering concepts, design patterns and illustrate examples of working with software that integrates with third party solutions- Proven ability to communicate effectively with other business stakeholders**Preferred Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related field preferred, but not required- Experience working with at least one of the leading OOP programming languages. Including, but not limited to PHP, Java- Experience working with JavaScript platforms and frameworks, specifically Node.js and React.js- Experience integrating third party APIs- Experience with NoSQL databases- Knowledge of Cloud Service Providers (especially AWS)- Knowledge of modern ORM frameworksZego is a property management automation company that simplifies cumbersome yet critical workflows for managers and associations.
