As a Data Engineer Specialist, you will be responsible for building, improving, and overseeing data retrieval, storage, and distribution to support the requirements. You will contribute to the different phases of the development during and after the project, as well a supporting the architecture in place (ingestion, transformation, publication) and delivering enhancements. You will report to the Data Manager.**Main Responsibilities.**- Support technical solutions implemented in the data lake, as defined by the Data Analyst and validated by the Data Architect.- Build new or enhance existing data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and load from multiple data sources, using different possible languages and technologies.- Manage data models, including dimensional and normalized models, to support PBI analytics needs.- Support the Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing optimized data models, pipelines and frameworks.- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and resolving complex data engineering challenges.**Qualifications.**- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.- 4+ years of experience that includes ETL/ELT workflow experience in design- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as SQL, Python or Scala.- Proficiency in working with cloud-based data platforms.- In-depth knowledge of data warehousing technologies.Benefits included will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process, like medical benefits, life insurance and more.**About us**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way: We partner with customers to create mutual value.
