**Requirements and Qualifications**- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related discipline, Engineering degree preferred- Minimum 5 years automotive purchasing experience- Self-starter, excellent people and problem-solving skills, strong task ownership and superior work ethic- Must be able to relate and communicate well with people at all levels- Must be familiar with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards**Key Responsibilities**- In coordination with Strategic Commodity Manager and purchasing counterpart in other global regions, develop andimplement commodity strategies in assigned electronics commodities (technology, footprint, quality, economics,supply base reduction / consolidation, etc.).- Evaluate supplier cost structure to obtain best overall value on behalf of MPT, Minimize collective risk throughfavorable raw material, currency adjustment mechanisms- Utilize a total cost approach to optimize piece prices for new and existing business in the assigned commodities.Tactics to include program bundling, global sourcing & leverage, dual sourcing, tariff & USMCA duty mitigation,specification / tolerance / material changes, process optimization, VAVE, logistics & packaging optimization,payment term improvement.- Assist MPT divisions in establishing supplier Long Term Agreements and supplier giveback terms.- Manage supplier relationship through regular business & roadmap reviews and disciplined contract management (NDA,Terms & Conditions, Nominations Letters, Settlement Agreements, etc.).- Monitor electronics component lead time and global allocation status to avoid any supply disruption to MPT plants- Lead a cross functional team in support of the assigned electronics commodities, including Program Management,Engineering, Production Controls and Logistics, Supplier Quality Development and Quality departments- Coordinate supplier development, consolidation, and reduction programs/suppliers- In coordination with Operational Purchasing, develop and execute divisional cost savings initiatives & riskmitigation strategies on existing business to achieve annual savings budgets.- Within a given electronics commodity, assure purchasing leveraging is optimized by providing oversight of theconsolidated buy for all the MPT Divisions- Able to construct complex excel models for estimating and simulating any business issue.- Keep senior MPT management informed of critical issues through clear and concise communications andpresentations.- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Salary**: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per month**Language**:- English (required)
