We’re looking for a highly skilled Word Press Developer to join our global engineering team. This position focuses on backend development - building and optimizing custom Word Press plugins, APIs, and integrations for large-scale, high-performance websites.
The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Word Press internals, experience working with enterprise clients, and a strong understanding of scalable, maintainable code.
Responsibilities- Design and develop custom Word Press plugins and themes from scratch using PHP, My SQL, and modern best practices.
- Implement advanced custom fields (ACF) , custom post types , and taxonomies for structured data management.
- Optimize database queries and improve performance across complex Word Press sites (meta queries, caching, indexing).
- Integrate Word Press with third-party APIs and automation tools.
- Develop and maintain cron jobs , background tasks, and data synchronization scripts.
- Build and maintain Gutenberg blocks or React-based admin components when required.
- Ensure sites meet performance, accessibility, and SEO standards (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, Dev Ops, QA, design) following Agile practices.
- Write clean, well-documented, and unit-tested code following OOP principles and Word Press coding standards.
- 5+ years of professional Word Press development experience , focusing on backend and custom plugin work.
- Experience with Word Press hooks (actions & filters) , custom queries, and optimization strategies.
- Proficient in ACF , CPT UI , Gutenberg .
- Solid understanding of Word Press REST API , webhooks , and API integrations .
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines .
- Experience with performance optimization , caching mechanisms, and scalable Word Press architectures.
- Advanced written and spoken English (international client communication required).
