Overview: STATEMENT:The Spot Buyer will be responsible for providing procure-to-pay (P2P) support for internal stakeholders and the Global Strategic Sourcing team across North America. The Spot Buyer will perform the execution of purchases for low value (tactical / tail) purchasing needs and maintenance of punchout catalogs for efficient stakeholder purchasing. Conduct rapid quoting, negotiating, awarding of vendor, PO Terms and Conditions with appropriate governance. Collaborate with Regional Category Management to ensure utilization of strategic and preferred suppliers. The Spot Buyer will leverage an understanding of procurement policies and procedures to provide optimal customer support, process improvement and troubleshooting. The position will also be responsible for P2P analysis, reporting and researching documents, maintaining database information, and executing tasks and projects in an efficient and timely manner.DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Include the responsibilities of the position 5 to 8 in total Please be sure that each one is a responsibility and not an activity ranking by importance.- Understand the goods and service specification for stakeholder purchasing needs.- Understand and engage the current supplier base and preferred suppliers when required.- Negotiate with suppliers, analyze result, communicate pricing and purchasing options to the stakeholders in a clear and concise manner (graphs, charts, PowerPoint and verbal presentations)- Support stakeholder’s queries on the sourcing and procurement process as well as educate users on the various buying channels- Support Stakeholders to ensure risk diligence has been performed prior to onboarding supplier and supplier is onboarded in compliance with internal policies- Support RFx process and execution including identification of vendors through market analysis for indirect/direct sourcing.- Provide global user support and training as an iProcurement super user.- Identify opportunities to build and implement tools to support the procurement process and improvements.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NONE Job Qualifications:SKILLS:- Strong analytical skills backed up by advanced knowledge of related tools (e.g., Excel lookups, pivot tables and charts).- Experience in pricing analysis.- Basic knowledge of supply chain, procurement, logistics, and warehouse management.- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams.- Demonstrated ability to handle large and disparate data sets.- Sense of urgency and ability to juggle multiple projects; ability to achieve timely and desired results by effectively and efficiently prioritizing tasks and projects.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Knowledge of Oracle Purchasing and iProcurement with an understanding of the Procurement and Sourcing fields is a plusLANGUAGES:- Fully bilingual in English & PortugueseEXPERIENCE:- 0-2 years in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance or related.EDUCATION:(Bachelor’s degree, Master, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, high school.)- Education: University degree, ideally Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finances, Industrial Engineering or relatedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:(Note: These are additional requirements BEYOND what is required to be considered for the role.)- Oracle Super User- Microsoft 365 Apps (SharePoint, Forms, OneDrive)
