ServicesYour Role & ResponsibilitiesOperate as MAHLE supply chain expert for freight and transportation, warehousing, and returnable packaging processes.Primary Contact for definition of specifications of the external supply chain.Define process, methods, and volume plan to tender external freight providers together with non-production materials (NPM) purchasing.Collaborate with purchasing to find best possible service providers for transportation, empties management, and warehousing.Support implementation of new freight forwarding companies.Develop MAHLEs digital supply chain processes in alignment with external and internal infrastructure and partners.Define standard processes and tools to support the operational logistics and plants.Lead logistic cost and performance improvement projects and initiatives.Develop ideas and concepts to improve transport and returnable empties processes.Collaborate with plants and development areas to define best practice processes.Collaborate with MAHLE operational logistics to implement new processes and identify areas of improvement.Explore and analyze data to identify areas of improvement and show improvement.Act as third level escalation for logistics issue to support process problem solving.Support cost improvement CIP and PPI workshops to realize short term savings.Support management initiatives with logistics, freight, and returnable knowledge.All other duties and projects as assigned.Your Skills & StrengthsBachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent related experience.Ability to identify and solve problems, to work within deadlines with a high attention to detail, and to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environmentStrong business acumen and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with colleagues, senior level management and/or executives, vendors, suppliers, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation deliveryMust have broad understanding of purchasing principlesAdvanced computer skills, especially in MS OfficeAdvanced experience with SAP transportation management (TM) and logistic business network (LBM) modules preferredAdvanced level experience with expedited freight tool preferredFluent in EnglishDo you have any questions?Facts about the job**Benefits**:**Entry level**:Experienced hires**Functional area**:Logistics**Location**:Monterrey, MX**Company**:Your future at MAHLEAs a team player and someone who thinks ahead, you can deploy all your skills with us.
