The ideal candidate typically have a minimum of 4-8 years of experience in Controls engineering. Qualified candidates are proficient in planning, creating schematic and panel assembly drawings, working with PLCs (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens), HMIs, and VFD's, implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects. Work to meet deadlines and deliverables, achieve budget, and manage risk with team leads.* Participate in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.* Perform important areas of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting more complex, less clearly defined issues.* Capable of solving complex or unusual problems related to Hardware and/or Software.* Lead complex projects through the project lifecycle, including delegating project tasks accordingly.* Perform site-audits at initiation of project to gather site information and confirm scope.* Perform on-site commissioning activities independently or as part of a team.* Review & report feedback of site readiness Audits (commissioning checklist/instructions).* Attend meetings before travel with site lead/project manager.* Own the Commissioning Plan and Schedule.* Coordinate with field engineering teams, mechanical & controls, for project execution.* Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced engineers.* Provide guidance to installation teams.* Follow current safety best practices while on-site and aware of current safety design practices.**What we are looking for:*** BS/BA in electrical engineering or advanced degree.* 4+ years of successful experience in related field.* Previous experience leading the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software, including all documentation and forecasting.* Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.* Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.* Proficient in AutoCAD.* Proficient in either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.* Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop.* Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
