The Production Superintendent oversees day to day production in a Manufacturing area’s you oversee on the second shift. Help ensure production quotes are met. Ensure safety and procedures are being followed. Help improve throughput with lean initiatives. Hold supervisor accountable. Be responsible for data collection and some training. Hold meetings and disseminate information as needed.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Be responsible for QC in production departments.- Find a way to get done what the organization has defined as important.- Plan the work that needs to be done.- Work with other superintendents across the organization to implement initiatives.- Hold supervisors accountable for results.- Set clear goals and objectives.- Set objectives.- Offer feedback and coaching to supervisors.- Must thrive and see value in a leadership role.- Empower supervisors.- Select and train supervisors.- Hold 1 on 1 with supervisors.- Help Supervisors promote and track new ideas and forms.- Understand and practice 5’s.- Help improve throughput via lean initiatives.- Collect data to help set goals and produce lean ideas.- Evaluate employee’s performance.- Treat all employees with kindness and respect.- Have genuine interest in the success of others.- Ensure all SOP’S and Standard works are prepared and being followed for teams.**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**:- Leadership- Ability to communicate positively with team members- Be able to have positive meeting with team leaders to solve issues- Create a healthy work environment- Gather data and evaluate it- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing- Process Improvement- Knowledge of 5’s- Ability to manage a work schedule- Ability to hold people accountable- Ability to manage projects and see them through- Skills in conflict resolution- Ability to embrace change**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**:- Bachelor’s degree- Advanced level of English- 2 years in manufacturing environment- 2 years leading Production Supervisors- Lean knowledge
