In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain API‑driven automations that keep our operations running with accuracy, speed, and reliability. Your work will ensure that the right data reaches the right systems at the right time—supporting our mission to transform long‑abandoned Baltimore rowhomes into vibrant, community‑led neighborhoods. Ensure automations run reliably, efficiently, and with complete data accuracy. Document all automations, integrations, and workflows for internal reference. Integrate third‑party tools to ensure seamless data flow across the organization. Build new integrations as systems evolve, ensuring backward compatibility and minimal downtime. Maintain data consistency and correct mapping between platforms. Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to reduce manual work through automation. Recommend and implement improvements in workflow design, system architecture, and data processes. Build error‑handling, logging, and notification mechanisms for proactive issue detection. Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated data pipelines to provide real‑time insights. Conduct regular audits to ensure 100% accuracy of synced and automated data. Produce monthly automation performance reports and recommendations. Serve as the internal subject matter expert for automations and integrations. Diagnose and resolve API failures, integration errors, and data discrepancies. Provide technical support to teams and assist with onboarding new internal tools. Partner with sales, operations, construction management, marketing, and finance teams to understand data and automation needs. Translate operational requirements into scalable automation solutions. Train team members on automated systems, integrations, and workflows. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in API integrations, workflow automation, or data engineering. Hands‑on experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom API scripting. Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and authentication methods (OAuth, API keys). Experience managing data flows across CRMs, project management tools, financial systems or operational software. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to work independently in a fully remote, fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills for documentation and cross‑team collaboration. Preferred Experience with HubSpot, Buildertrend, ClickUp, QuickBooks Online, or similar tools. Proficiency in JavaScript or Python for custom API workflows. Knowledge of automation best practices, ETL processes, or system architecture. Compensation, Growth, and Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience. Opportunity for performance‑based bonuses as the company grows. Direct mentorship from the Founder and CEO. 20 days of paid time off. Health benefits (in progress). Join Us If you're excited about building systems that strengthen communities, eliminate friction, and empower teams, we'd love to hear from you.
