Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained are core functions of the role. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs- You take ownership in your work and team and are available to work overtime during Amazon’s peak holiday season and as needed year-round. You are obsessed with customer experience and understand the importance of a 24/7 operations. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional.**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:- High school or bachelor's degree/in progress- 2+ years of professional experience- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays- Solid experience managing departments KPIs and driven results**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:- Experience with end-to-end project management- Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field is a plus- English and Spanish fluent proficiency.- 1+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment- Management of a minimum of 30-80 employees (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment)- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation
