Role Overview

The Planning team provides value by:

  • Managing or completing supply planning based on sales forecasts, orders, and production data.
  • Analyzing, controlling, and reporting on relevant KPIs, detecting plan deviations, and deriving recommendations.
  • Developing supplier forecasts and determining logistical processes with suppliers.
  • Analyzing order plans and critical timelines, and double-checking available materials, parts, or products in stock.
  • Executing load balancing calculations and cooperating with other plants for optimized plans.
  • Planning monthly or weekly production programs for the assigned plant(s).
  • Calculating and deploying short-term (day-to-day) production plans for assigned production resources.

The Senior Coordinator:

  • Plans the material, machine, or personnel resources needed, in cooperation with local Plant or Warehouse Management.
  • Initiates procurement orders and releases production or transportation orders according to the agreed plans.
  • Sets up short-term resource plans, monitors process efficiency, and derives short-term measures when necessary.
  • Cooperates with Maintenance, Engineering, or Production Management to identify deficiencies or improvement potential.
