The Merchants Director will report to Mexico's CEO. He/She will be responsible for developing an effective merchants go-to-market strategy and for enhancing existing relationships with the merchants. Being a critical part of Mexico's leadership team, he/she ensures that the network is efficiently maintained and expanded, while new sources of growth are effectively delivered to the merchants.
Executes the go-to-market strategy for merchants in line with country priorities & product roadmap.
Builds the merchant organization and coverage plan to foster sustainable and profitable commercial results through merchants’ businesses.
Ensures effective execution & communication of Pluxee's value propositions to merchants during negotiations while maintaining and increasing commission levels for our services.
Acts as the first point of contact for merchants and manages relationships with them.
Develops an operating budget for the merchants division that meets business goals.
Contributes to financial forecasting in terms of reimbursement patterns, revenues, and merchant sales activities.
Builds methodologies to ensure an efficient network coverage with an optimal cost structure.
Executes a proactive affiliation strategy, identifying prioritized clusters of merchants while optimizing commercial conditions.
Defines the commercial KPIs and targets regarding affiliation, sales, and revenue, co-design merchant sales incentive system with other departments.
Uses the appropriate metrics (leading and lagging KPIs related to the Sales Funnel) to review the performance of his/her sales team.
Creates strong relationships with key merchant stakeholders at senior levels.
Analyses merchant loss reasons, building action plans to prevent avoidable losses for key merchants.
Ensures usage of the CRM for selected merchant activities (key negotiations, new product sales, merchant acquisitions).
Provides organized feedback to other functions in the company for improving value proposition, building new products / CSR initiatives, or fine-tuning other tools and processes for merchants.
Monitors competitors' merchant practices, fees, and commissions and alerts marketing teams & country COMEX periodically.
Works in strong alignment with global and regional teams to exchange best practices in Pluxee's merchants’ community.
You’re a match if you are/have:
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, or similar.
Master's degree (preferred)
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading sales and partnerships teams, specifically in the B2B environment.
Proven track of leading business development, strategic alliances, and partnership management departments.
Previous experience in payment, retail, fintech, or e-commerce industries is preferred.
Knowledge of a CRM software (preferably Salesforce)
Familiarity with Payment Technologies
Availability to work in a hybrid model (4 days in the office and 1 day home office).
