The Securities & Derivatives Associate Analyst is a developing professional role. This role identifies policy and applies specialty knowledge in monitoring and assessing processes and data. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.Issuer Services Ops Tampa Hub perform the contractual obligation activities for more than 400 contracts for the following countries: Panama, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina and Puerto Rico.Our business handles a wide variety of types of contracts. No contract is the same; all are tailor made, according to the needs of the clients.**Responsibilities**:- Individual mapped to this job description is responsible for securities transaction processing execution- Typically related to Securities Clearance Settlement and Derivative Operations- This may include providing analytic support to traders and support review of derivative products- Supports an expansive and or diverse array of products services- Follows established procedures to identify problems related to securities and derivatives settlement that require investigation or research- Delivers reports to satisfy management requirements, support control activities, and the launch of products services- Provides assistance in the implementation of process improvements- Minimizes risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements - understands and monitors errors to adhere to audit and control policies. (incl. reconciliation, payment and other processing systems)- Timely management and escalation of all requests inquiries issues errors, (mostly, but not limited to, post settlement)- Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams- Demonstrates an excellent knowledge of bank related systems- Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversityContractual Obligations- Read, analyze, and understand the different contracts for each client in different jurisdictions. According to the lecture of each contract, provide the necessary comments to the checklist provided (Transactional Checklist, Documentation Checklist, Deal Implementation checklist, Termination Checklist, and Accounting guideline).- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) the operational activities into the Issuer Services Workstation platform according to the transactional Checklist.- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) the evidence of each task performed into the system or Sharedrive.- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) the day-to-day activities according to the contractual obligations for each client, using our core system as tickler.- Perform collateral obligations accordingly to contract rules (calculation, waterfall, notifications, etc.)- Review, input or approve (depending of the role and according to the A&T contract plus frequency) the commission collection letters to the clients.Accounting, Payments and Reconciliation- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) the information of the instructions received by the client into the payment system, in order to make the distributions of funds (domestic transfers, Checks, International transfers, book to book) according to the contracts.- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) accounting entries, into the core system, according to the contract obligations.- Record the commissions and their monthly accrual according to the Fee Schedule of each contract.- Ensure to complete control log on a daily basis, in order to assurance that all instructions received were performed.- On a daily basis, balance the accounts of the different A&T contracts.- Act as account owner of the balance sheet review in the E-recon system, with the supporting documentation.Reporting- Produce local regulatory reports related to Agency & Trust business required by Regulators for Latin American Countries.- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) the monthly (internal) financial statements of the trust agreements.- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) metrics and controls related to all activities performed as defined by bank Policies or internal decision.- Review, input or approve (depending of the role) the reports for each Latin American Countries:
