This is an opportunity for a highly motivated professional to assume a leadership position within our dynamic Investment Banking team and drive meaningful impact across our business. The Executive Director will sit within the Mexico Investment banking team, with a dedicated focus on the Monterrey market in Mexico. Position is to be permanently based in Monterrey, Mexico. Our team is at the forefront of originating and executing public and private M&A and capital markets transactions for corporates and financial sponsor in Mexico. As an Executive Director in Mexico coverage team, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping strategic client dialogue and overseeing the execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions, with particular emphasis on opportunities in the Monterrey area. You will be responsible for managing and developing client relationships, leading deal teams, and supporting senior management in business development and client coverage. Collaboration with colleagues across geographies and product teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, etc.) will be essential to ensure seamless delivery of our services. Job Responsibilities Lead development of strategic content: Oversee the preparation of materials for high-level client meetings focused on M&A and capital market transactions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and firm strategy. Drive client and senior team engagement: Act as a primary or secondary point of contact, interacting daily with senior team members and client management to lead transaction execution and advise on strategic alternatives. Oversee valuation analysis: Direct, review, and provide expert guidance on complex valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analyses. Lead financial analysis for M&A: Supervise and critically evaluate combination and other financial analyses in the context of M&A transactions or strategic pitches. Mentor and develop junior talent: Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to analysts and associates, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance across deal teams. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Extensive, proven investment banking leadership experience: Demonstrated track record in leading complex investment banking transactions, ideally with significant exposure to the Monterrey business sector. Exceptional ethics, integrity, and judgement: Recognized for maintaining high standards of professional conduct and making sound, principled decisions. Expert financial modelling and analytical skills: Mastery of valuation techniques and financial analysis, with the ability to oversee, challenge, and elevate complex analytical work. Strong leadership and team orientation: Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and collaborating within high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence. Superior organizational and strategic skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive strategic initiatives at a senior level.
