Purpose Statement: Verify, create and maintain manufacturers', manufacturer part numbers, and component data in the Product Data Management system. Provide technical support to Program Management, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Materials Managements, Documentation Control, Costing, Buyers, Receiving and Manufacturing Personnel requiring disposition of component issues.Key Job Accountabilities:- Perform Research and Interpretation of Manufacturers' Component Datasheets. Perform Research and Interpretation of Customer, Military, and Environmental Specifications.- Verify, Create and Maintain Manufacturers' Part Numbers and Descriptions in the Product Data Management System.- Supply Technical Support to Program Management, Materials Management, Documentation Control, Costing/Quoting, Receiving and Manufacturing.Additional Accountabilities:- Perform Customer Approved Manufacturer List Comparisons.- Research and Identify Component Equivalents.- Review Quoting Package Component Data for Completeness and Accuracy.- Support the Corrective Action, Preventative Action and Non-Conforming Materials Processes.- Support the Engineering Change Order and Manufacturing Change Order Processes.- Mentor and Train Individuals on the Applicable Processes, Procedures and Software Applications.- Support the Monitoring, Auditing and Reporting of Applicable Process Metrics.- Support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Activities.- Support Failure Analysis activities.- Support and review of manufacturing PCN's (part change notices) for electronic components.- Verify, Create and Maintain Manufacturers' Part Numbers (MPN), MPN Parametric Data, and MPN Description in the Product Data Management System.- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 1-2%).- Additional duties as assigned.Education/Experience Qualifications:- A minimum of an Associate’s degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred_._- Two (2) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years of related experience is preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications:- General Computer (PC) Skills- Oral and Written Communication Skills- Technical and Critical Thinking Skills- Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis Skills- Familiarity with Industry Standards (IPC, JEDEC, etc.)- Familiarity with Product Data Packages (BOM, AML, CAD, etc.)- Product Data Management Software (AGILE)- Enterprise Resource Planning Software (JD Edwards)- Microsoft Office Software Applications (Highly Skilled with Excel)- General office equipment and materialsWork Environment:- The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.- This document does not represent a contract of employment and is not intended to capture every possible assignment the incumbent could be asked to perform._
