We are seeking a **Junior Accountant** to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting finance month-end close activities and ensuring accurate record-keeping. You will work closely with internal and external consultants to provide necessary financial information and contribute to the preparation of annual calculations and informative returns.RESPONSIBILITIES- Support with finance month-end close- Prepare journal entries into the local accounting software (Contpaqi)- Work with external or internal consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper record keeping- Assist with reviewing of general expenses, accruals, FX operations and other incomes, etc- Download and Associate CFDI files to all expense’s entries in MX books- Prepare and cancel electronic invoices from vendors and customers- Have knowledge of electronic accounting compliance in Mexico- Review and control of tax requirements of Mexican invoice- Support the preparation of annual calculation and informative returns- Support internal areas according to expenses and VAT consults- Support process of VAT refunds- Elaborate files to submit Informative return with third parties (DIOT)- Use experience on tax requirements, mostly for VAT tax**REQUIREMENTS**:- Degree in Accounting- Minimum of 1 year working experience in areas related to accounting or finance- Knowledge of tax compliance, informative returns, due dates of federal and state taxes- Familiarity with electronic accounting compliance in Mexico- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively- Experience with VAT refunds and tax requirements, particularly for VAT tax- Intermediate level in Excel- Result-oriented person with team player mentality- Fluency in English at B2 levelNICE TO HAVE- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Contpaqi and SAP
