If you are excited about advanced development of breakthrough technologies for future-generation CPU cores, we welcome you to join us, to do something wonderful.You will be part of the Power and Performance (PnP) CPU validation team (based in Guadalajara, Jalisco) and have an impact on Intel's next generation x86 Cores. Responsibilities include understanding CPU architecture, PnP optimization, as well as identifying further opportunities to close the gap with respect to pre-silicon targets. In this position, you will collaborate closely with architects and designers to validate power and performance features of Intel CPUs in the lab.**The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:*** Understanding silicon parametric across distributions (Vmins, Cdyn, leakage, transistor performance, Basic of Electrical Validation etc.) and their impacts on CPU power and performance.* Understanding of workloads, benchmarking, and TDP power recipes.* System-level understanding of power management flows at the hardware, firmware, and driver levels.* Analysis of silicon performance power consumption versus pre-silicon expectations and drive resolution of issues in simulation, emulation, and system platform.* Close interface with architecture, design, and platform engineers.* Contributing towards power management optimization flows for future products.## **Qualifications:****A successful candidate will have proven experience demonstrating the following skills and behavioral traits:*** Advanced proactive and interpersonal skills.* Good problem-solving skills.* Self-discipline and good collaboration within or across team.* Good English and Spanish communication skills.* Very good Teamwork skills.**Minimum Qualifications**:Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.* 6+ months of experience working with programming languages such as Python, C, C++ or Java.* 6+ months of hands-on experience manipulating hardware and measurement equipment in a lab type environment.* Advanced English level.* Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.**Preferred Qualifications:**Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.* Projects or internships in CPU or ASIC in lab validation and functional modeling.* Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Ubuntu Operation systems.* Experience with scripting languages like Python, C/C++, and Assembly.* Familiarity with x86.* Sharp debug and troubleshooting knowledge.* Relevant courses: Computer Architecture, Digital Design, Verification Logic Design, Programming Languages and Data Structures.Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/researchA candidate who accepts an offer of employment in Mexico is required to present their own personal identification information and numbers for the following: Mexican Security Number (NSS), Tax Identification Number (RFC) and CURP identification number.## Job Type:College Grad## Shift:Shift 1 (Mexico)## Primary Location:Mexico, Guadalajara## Additional Locations:## Business group:The Silicon Engineering Group (SIG) is a worldwide organization focused on the development and integration of SOCs, Cores, and critical IPs from architecture to manufacturing readiness that power Intel’s leadership products.
