You consume large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data to constantly refine your assumptions.**And finally, you want to be part of creating dramatic and impactful change at a company that is committed to becoming a light unto others when it comes to user experience design.****What will you do as a user experience designer on Oracle’s Communications UX team?**- You will dive deep into Oracle’s Communications products and deliver innovative experiences tailored to the needs of our customers: the world’s leading telecommunication providers and enterprises with communication operations- You will partner closely with Product Management to understand the oftentimes technically-minded customers who use these products, empathize with them, and imagine creative ways we can make their work lives dramatically better.- You will partner closely with fellow designers to innovate by designing coherent, seamless, and emotionally resonant, state-of-the-art user experiences for our users.- You will partner closely with Engineering to take your designs and turn them into reality.- You will partner closely with your colleagues in user research to get customer feedback on your designs, find out where you’ve improved their lives, and where you have more work to do.- You will lead your projects and meet often with stakeholders to discuss project status, goals, roadblocks and areas for improvement.- You will lead discovery sessions, design critiques, stakeholder reviews and customer demos.- You will stay well-informed of changing design technologies/methodologies and help drive process improvements and design strategy.- You will develop Communications domain expertise and be comfortable with continuous learning- You will actively mentor junior designers.- You will execute and be an internal advocate for the value of the design thinking process- You will work with stakeholders to define and drive UX strategy, prioritization, and culture.- You will collaborate with central design teams to advocate for and contribute your use cases back to the Redwood Design System.- Your experience designing intuitive UX in telecommunications, or similarly complex industries will be instrumental in understanding the needs of your customers.- You will learn, grow, and be challenged.- And, if we’re being honest (and we are), you will sometimes make tough compromises, or find things take longer than you want them to, or you will need to work extra hard to convince a colleague of your position, and sometimes you will not get your way.- And sometimes, you will get frustrated that Oracle is still growing its design culture.
