We believe that when our people thrive, our company thrives.**Job Summary**:The **Project Accountant** is responsible for **project-level and corporate accounting activities**, assisting **Project Managers and staff daily** to ensure **accurate financial tracking, invoicing, and reporting**.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:- ** Assist Project Managers** with **weekly and monthly project cost monitoring**, including **labor, expenses, and subconsultants**.- ** Create and close projects** in accordance with contract specifications, including **setting up and monitoring labor rate tables**.- ** Generate, track, and issue project invoices** accurately and timely based on **client agreements and internal deadlines**.- ** Support clients and Project Managers** to ensure **timely collection of project invoices**.- ** Set up project budgets** based on project setup forms.- ** Coordinate directly with subconsultants** to obtain invoices, review them for **accuracy and compliance**, and ensure proper processing.- ** Assist the Controller** with **month-end close activities**, including **journal entries and reconciliations**.- ** Support audits** from customers, auditors, or other external stakeholders.- ** Attend Engineering Project Review meetings** and follow up on action items.- ** Ensure subconsultant invoices** are processed and paid on time.- ** Perform other duties as assigned** to support business needs.**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:- Strong **problem-solving and organizational skills** to ensure **timely and accurate project accounting**.- Ability to **make decisions and seize opportunities** in alignment with business objectives.- ** Collaborative mindset** to partner effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.- ** Customer-focused approach** to satisfy internal and external expectations while developing long-term partnerships.- ** Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite** (Excel, Outlook, Word) and strong **electronic communication skills**.**Required Education & Experience**:- ** Bachelors degree in Accounting** or related field, **OR 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or revenue recognition**.- ** Minimum 3 years of accounting experience**, preferably in **project accounting** within an **engineering, architecture, or construction company**.- ** Fluent in Spanish and English** (mandatory).**Preferred Education & Experience**:- ** Experience using accounting software** for **project financial management**.- ** Experience in Accounts Payable (A/P) and collections**.**Why RailPros?**- Opportunity for **growth/advancement promotion/advancement**from within.- Niche and essential industry with** continued growth and stability**.- Exciting projects and **diverse, inclusive** company culture.**Benefits & Perks**:- Aguinaldo- Vacaciones y Prima Vacacional- Dias de Descanso (Holidays) de Ley- Prestaciones por Ley**#LI-RWIC**Follow us on Social Media
