**Position overview**The individual will be part of our Index Products team and will play a direct role in driving the market research and intelligence efforts within the team. The intern will report to the Global Index Market Intelligence Manager and will be involved in all aspects of market research and intelligence, including identifying and managing the most relevant sources of information, analyzing and distilling data to extract actionable insights, as well as presenting information clearly and effectively. The scope of the research undertaken by this role is global and includes the monitoring and analysis of macro trends, industry developments, product trends and competitors across various markets, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods.**Your key responsibilities**- Manipulate large amounts of data and use various tools to analyze, visualize, and present results.- Assist in researching a variety of financial topics and summarize findings in a concise manner.- A self-starter and highly motivated individual, with the ability to work individually and within a team.**Specific knowledge and skills**- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint- High attention to detail and good team player- Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills and ability to work both independently and across teams.- Strong analytical, data driven and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex issues- Ability to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence**Desired Experience**- At least 7th semester students in Finance, Economics, Data Science or related fields.**Desired qualifications**- We require availability of at least 20 hours a week**About MSCI**At MSCI we are passionate about what we do, and we are inspired by our purpose - to power better investment decisions.
