You will be working with an MMO game developer and publisher built around a collective of hackers and designers in pursuit of the next great paradigm shift in the video game industry.**Responsibilities**:- Create concept art and high-quality 2D assets for characters, vehicles and environments in a stylized anime aesthetic- Create visual mockups to communicate game ideas- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the artistic vision for various projects- Provide constructive feedback to the art team and help them achieve their potential- Participate actively in project planning and creative brainstorming sessions- Be able to troubleshoot and solve artistic issues that arise during production**Requirements**:- 8+ years of experience in the video game industry- Proven experience as a 2D artist in the game industry, with demonstrated success in an anime aesthetic- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects- Strong knowledge of composition, color theory, and layout- Demonstrated ability to create expressive, stylized characters and environments in an anime style- Mastery of time management to adhere to schedules and deadlines- Excellent written and verbal communication skills**Nice to Have**:- Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine- Strong understanding of the game development process- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya)- Experience in storyboarding- Previous experience in a leadership position- Degree from an Art College- We’re an equal-opportunity employer.
