Packaging EngineerInternal Job Code:Zip Code for radius search: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, MexicoAbout Methode Electronics Inc.Description:Methode Electronics is looking for a highly technical, hands-on, and motivated Packaging Engineer responsible for guaranteeing the integrity and quality of the components manufactured throughout the entire value chain from the point of production to the end customer for the North American Automotive Division. This position supports all quotes for, and components manufactured products in our Monterrey area plants with the following responsibilities and qualifications:Position Responsibilities:Conceptualization and quotation of packaging for new businesses, including areas of molding, painting, PCBA and final product.Design, validation, and implementation of packaging for the different products that are produced in Methode Mexico.Determine packaging specifications such as: costs, packing density, ergonomics of the packing operation.Define primary and alternative packaging for the different components.Create detailed packaging specifications for implementation on the production line.Structural evaluation of packaging, to define the resistance necessary to withstand static and dynamic loads.Evaluation of palletizing and storage spaces, type of shipment, land, sea, and air.Ensure compliance with ISO IATF:16949 and ISO 14001:2015 guidelines.Lead and direct packaging projects with suppliers to meet production start dates.Participate in the analysis of causes of damage related to the distribution and logistics of components.Required Qualifications:- Wide and demonstrable technical knowledge as Packaging Engineer. - At least 5 years of experience.- Develop packaging concepts for RFQs.- Conduct research for the use of new packaging materials.- Develop engineering specifications for new packaging.- Review the efficiency of the current VA/VE packaging.- Provide technical support for the development or improvement of packaging.- Development of disposable and reusable cardboard and plastic containers for automotive products.- Training in Design Software for the creation of 2D models and drawings.- Good command of English, CET-4 or above (can communicate in English), Technical English is a must.Methode Electronics, Inc is an Equal Opportunity EmployerMethode Electronics es una empresa que ofrece igualdad de oportunidades.
