We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of **Consultant Specialist/Full Stack Engineer**Work within a Global Real Time Payment Platform team with an engineering mindset to develop and delivered book of work, based on agreed technical design, adopting industry standard development patterns and methodologies (including continuous integration and automated unit and integration testing).**Main Activities**:- Participate in design/technical reviews/provide inputs and ensure the quality of the deliverables.- Hands-on coding and helping team members solve technical problems.- Ensuring procedure around governance/standards/ are followed including relevant IT Development, Change Management and Service Management etc.- Manage/provide the Environment support across Real Time Payment Platform including environment stability/technical functionality/identification and issue Resolution.- Participate, contribute, and support in environment releases including weekend support (Rotational/Need basis).- Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.- Manage and support junior members of the team where required.- Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks/projects/programs with priority.Requirements- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in Java development.- Hands on experience on Java programming as an individual contributor.- Must be able to debug the existing code, extend the functionality and/or fix issues if any.- Must have skills: Core java, Springboot, Microservices, UNIX shell scripting, REST API, Kafka, Docker, Oracle database SQL.- Tooling experience: Jenkins, Maven, GIT etc.- Working experience in Agile.- Good communication skills, be able to talk to a variety of stakeholders including senior members- Functional / Technical knowledge of Payments estate, preferably with Instant Payments adoption i.e, Real time payments which have stringent SLAs.- Nice to have some knowledge on Google Cloud, Amazon Webservices or Azure Cloud adoption of large-scale platforms related to Payment’s processing.At HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of leave days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.
