While operational tasks may be part of these roles, the majority of time is spent on office-based activities."General Job Description:Under general supervision perform the following activities:- Prepare all necessary customs forms to allow import, export and transit procedures to carry out in a timely, efficient and effective manner for shipments arriving and departing by air, i.e., master guides, cargo manifests and general declarations, invoices and any additional related documentation.- Prepare forms detailing custom duties, duties and taxes / VAT.- Prepare international manifests to ensure cargo release in a timely manner.- Ensure full compliance of all ramp activities with country policies and tax laws and in compliance with FedEx rules, procedures, practices and rules.- Interact with customs officials and coordinate customs activities with internal staff.- Contact customers to provide information and inform about any additional tax payments.- Keep all customs documentation well organized and filed correctly.- Perform the classification and transfer of cargo to other airlines when required.- Process submission of flight information through customs computer system.- Track cases for different shipments.- Inventory management of loads found in urgent shipping warehouses.- Control of supplies and inventories.- Support load-captain function if required.- May be required to perform other duties as assigned**Minimum Requirements****Minimum Education**:- Bachelor's degree in international trade or related.- Ability to understand English (450 TOEIC points).**Minimum Experience**:- Technician/technologist in international trade or business with two years of experience in handling air cargo, procedures, policies, customs laws and regulations and customs clearance processes at the airport.- Analytical thinking, planning and organization skills.- Good verbal and written communication skills.- Driver's license, preferable.- Good administrative skills and computer knowledge.- Management of the English language in the customs area.
