The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced Sr. Data Analyst.A data analyst is responsible for organizing data related to sales numbers, market research, logistics, or other behaviors. They utilize technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. Data is then analyzed, designed, and presented in a way that assists individuals, businesses, and organizations make better decisions.This role will be a full-time position base out of Mexico CityWhat we’re looking forEducation: Advanced degree preferred or equivalent work experience.Experience: Proven working experience in data analysis - Minimum of 5 Yrs.Skills: As a data analyst, you should possess the following eight skills:- Cleansing and preparing data.- Analyzing and exploring data.- Expertise in statistics.- Analyzing and visualizing data.- Reports and dashboards.- Communication and writing.- Expertise in the domain.- Solution-oriented.Who you are:- A background in mathematics or statistics is required.- Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data.- Knowledge of programming languages like R or Python.- Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.- Knowledge of data visualization software like Qlik or Power Bi is an added advantage.- Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations.- Accuracy and attention to detail.- Problem-solving and team-working skills.How you will thrive and create an impact- Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.- Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems.- Developing and maintaining databases, data systems - reorganizing data in a readable format.- Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data.- Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problem.- Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction.- Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.- Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.- Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.- Another integral element of data analyst job description is EDA or Exploratory Data Analysis Project. In such data analyst projects, the analyst needs to scrutinize data to recognize and identify patterns.- The data analysts also do use data modeling techniques to summarize the overall features of data analysis.ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)- Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.- A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.- May intermittently travel domestically, international travel is unlikely.- A certain flexibility of working hours is expected.- Minimal physical effort is required.
