Job Title: HighSpeed Twinax Staff Engineer Job Overview Designs and implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tools, and machinery to maximize throughput; researches on products and processes to optimize efficiency. Job Requirements Identifying new technologies and processes to increase efficiency; consulting on the selection and implementation of automation and robotics on the assembly line. Reviewing and updating manufacturing processes and policies as per compliance and industry standard. Designing and implementing processes for manufacturing equipment selection; identifying optimal tools for machines. Establishing control charting of complex features and processes; monitoring results and determining machine capabilities, process capabilities, and performance reliability. What your background should look like Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred. +7 years of work experience on high-speed cable manufacturing, specifically cable assemblies for data centers, AI, and supercomputing including cable form factors such as OSFP, QSFP, and QDD. Experience to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD, etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Strong experience understanding industry document specifications like US‑CAR & IPC620. Strong understanding of cable‑making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, and metal and plastic raw material characteristics. Experience in product tolerance analysis, stability using verify data analysis of the processes, such as CPK. Expertise with the product development process, able to provide DFM, SOP, PFMEA, BOP, CTAR required for each phase according to the project schedule. Working knowledge of manual, semi‑automatic and automatic assembly processes. Responsibilities Highly support product development by optimizing designs and parts for manufacturability, and by realizing sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes. Tooling and process development: design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual/automated processes for high‑speed products to meet TE quality and production standards, documenting all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems. Implementation of new manufacturing technologies: strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control, enhancing overall manufacturing capabilities. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends and drive the adoption of innovative solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities. New Product Introduction (NPI): lead the successful transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems. LEANPD‑driven new product development: play a pivotal role in LEANPD‑driven projects, ensuring strong impact and adherence to Lean principles. For high‑speed products serve as high‑level process leader for cutting, stamping, molding, cable assembly, or other TE manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance for quality and output. Cross‑functional collaboration: engage with Product Development Engineering, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Production, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication. Interface between product development and manufacturing engineering: act as the expertise element to optimize design for manufacturability.
