Currently, SMS/TRIGO is providing support to the largest Primes, Tier-1s, and Tier 2s while expanding its service portfolio to include quality management services since the acquisition by TRIGO GROUP, INC. in January 2019.***This position requires full time travel to Mexico****Function**:- Conduct Source Inspection, including in-process, first-article, and final inspection, of electromechanical assemblies at the manufacturer against customer Purchase Order, Drawings, Quality Requirements, and other flow-down- Review supplier ATP, CofC, FAI reports and other documentation to ensure compliance- Complete inspection reports and documentation in accordance to Customer specifications- Notify supplier and customer of rejections, providing reasons and objective evidence- Interface directly with suppliers and customers**Qualifications and Experience**:- Hands-on inspection experience and ability to use basic inspection equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) a must- Understanding of engineering, drawings, and GD&T a must- Minimum 5+ years Aerospace inspection experience- Minimum 3+ years inspecting aeronautic metallic parts (mechanical parts/assembly)- Experience in production, quality management, and logistics- Understanding and experience in AS 9100 and AS9102- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required (English)- Metal fabrication / machining experience- Previous aircraft experience is preferred- ** Electronic experience is required**:- US citizenship required - Supplier Management Solutions, LLC can restrict hiring to US Citizens when government contracts require us to do so. 8 U.S.C. - 1324b(a)(2)(C).**Other Qualifications**:- MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word )- Computer proficiency is required- Team-minded, communicative, being proactive, stress resistant, assertiveness**Company Description**:SMS, a TRIGO companySupplier Management Solutions, LLC (SMS)/TRIGO is the leader in the Commercial and Defense Aerospace Industry providing global supplier management, development, and quality services through “boots on the ground” on-site management to drive systemic changes that improve quality and sustain on-time delivery and overall supplier performance.With SMS' Headquarters located in Southern California, SMS/TRIGO Executives, Management and teams come with over forty (40) years of industry experience.
