Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer – Mexico Ausenco is looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer for its operations in Mexico. Responsibilities Collaborate with the engineering and design team from FEED through scoping and detailed engineering to construction support. Develop capital cost estimates for feasibility studies and detailed engineering proposals. Monitor costs associated with the selection, procurement and installation of instrumentation and control system equipment. Program PLCs. Design instrumentation deliverables such as instrument indexes, installation details, location drawings, datasheets, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, P&ID's, material requisitions, evaluation of alternatives and instrument selection, calculations (control valve, flow elements, pressure safety valves), document control logs, bill of materials, instrument change approvals and construction work packages. Design controls related deliverables, including logic drawings, termination/wiring diagrams, block diagrams, panel layouts, control system topology, control system architecture, control narrative and cable schedule. Participate in HAZOP reviews and other technical, constructability and quality reviews. Review drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with QA/QC programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, mechatronics, instrumentation or a related field. At least 5 years of progressive experience as an instrumentation and control engineer in heavy industry. Experience working within an EPCM environment is preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong analytical, communication (oral and written) and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work under pressure, multi‑task and meet deadlines. Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary project team including process, mechanical, civil‑structural, electrical, instrumentation and CAD support. Working knowledge of codes, standards, regulations and best practices. Familiarity with the hardware requirements of PLC, SCADA and DCS control systems. Willingness to travel.
