Senior Product Scientist I

Make It With Pride.**Working as part of a cross-functional team you lead the RDQ activities required to complete new product development and maintain portfolios and/or productivity projects keeping in mind the goal to deliver the desired consumer experience.**How you will contribute**You will work independently to plan, lead and coordinate technical projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In addition, you will plan, lead and coordinate development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation. etc.). To provide direction for product development, you will use digital simulation models to obtain, understand and interpret consumer insights and commercial information. Probe several sources for inspiration, looking beyond the obvious.- Partner closely with consumer science, modelling & simulation, process and package teams to ideate and bring to life consumer-led product solutions by means of rapid prototyping through to scale-up feasibility. Use agile methods and the appropriate level of technical rigor to solve problems.- Work closely with consumer science and regional partners to develop robust consumer learning plans.- Support R&D efforts to influence business partners to drive project agenda; build effective relationships with colleagues, cross functional teams and stakeholders.- Leverage sources beyond own area of recognized expertise within organization to ensure effectiveness.**Job specific requirements**:- B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.- 3-5 years of experience in a Product Development or technical RDQ role.- Willing to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally.- Experience working with confectionery formulas & ingredients (desired, will train)- Creative mindset and ability to see problems through a consumer lens.- Strong communication skills, ability to influence decision makers, build relationships and drive to results.- Strong project planning & management skills.- Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources to solve complex problems- Fluid English level.**Travel requirements**:- Availability for international and local travel**No Relocation support available**:**Business Unit Summary**:**At Mondelēz International, our purpose is to empower people to snack right by offering the right snack, for the right moment, made the right way.
