Data Science Consultant

We are actively recruiting a Data Science Consultant to expand our remote workforce. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about harnessing data to address business challenges and who are adept at managing projects from start to finish. As a Data Science Consultant, you will be pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.**Responsibilities**- Lead the creation, development, and implementation of ML/AI solutions, providing both technical leadership and strategic direction- Design and deploy responsible AI systems, customizing solutions to client needs through meticulous planning and robust evaluation strategies- Champion the adoption of AI across various organizational departments, initiating new products and solutions- Analyze client business challenges and illustrate how ML/AI solutions can address these effectively- Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers, providing leadership and mentorship to enhance team capabilities- Monitor emerging trends in ML/AI technology, advocating for innovative practices that comply with regulatory standards- Facilitate communication and coordination among business, legal, and tech stakeholders to ensure smooth project transitions- Develop ML solutions, oversee project scopes, and manage teams from the sales process through to project delivery- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and effective communication- Engage with senior-level client stakeholders to promote the adoption of AI throughout their organizations- Support sales and pre-sales efforts, evaluating data opportunities, responding to RFPs, and developing proposal presentations**Requirements**:- At least 8 years of experience in IT with a substantial background in Data Science- Minimum of 3 years in leadership roles such as Lead, Manager, or Architect within Agile or hybrid environments- Demonstrated experience in managing teams of at least 20 members- Participation in at least 5 full project cycles or major product launches- Extensive leadership experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI- Proven track record in designing and implementing ML/AI solutions- In-depth knowledge of Machine Learning, including deep learning, statistical methods, and various ML models- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders to obtain project support or funding- Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow- Ability to translate complex business requirements into viable ML/AI solutions- Experience working in highly regulated industries or in regulatory technology roles- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)- Advanced proficiency in English to ensure effective communication and relationship building**Nice to have**- Additional certifications in Data Science or Machine Learning- Experience in public speaking or leading workshops on AI-related topics**We offer**- Career plan and real growth opportunities- Unlimited access to LinkedIn learning solutions- International Mobility Plan within 25 countries- Constant training, mentoring, online corporate courses, eLearning and more- English classes with a certified teacher- Support for employee’s initiatives (Algorithms club, toastmasters, agile club and more)- Enjoyable working environment (Gaming room, napping area, amenities, events, sport teams and more)- Flexible work schedule and dress code- Collaborate in a multicultural environment and share best practices from around the globe- Hired directly by EPAM & 100% under payroll- Law benefits (IMSS, INFONAVIT, 25% vacation bonus)- Major medical expenses insurance: Life, Major medical expenses with dental & visual coverage (for the employee and direct family members)- 13 % employee savings fund, capped to the law limit- Grocery coupons- 30 days December bonus- Employee Stock Purchase Plan- 12 vacations days plus 4 floating days- Official Mexican holidays, plus 5 extra holidays (Maundry Thursday and Friday, November 2nd, December 24th & 31st)- Monthly non-taxable amount for the electricity and internet billsEPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services.
